Job description

Air-tek is a Canadian-based software company with a powerful suite of unique products that have already achieved a significant share of a huge global market. The product market fit is excellent, and customers are lining up to buy. Although our global customers know us, we intentionally operate in stealth mode during this growth phase.

Our diverse team shares a collective passion for solving complex problems with a drive to innovate and a desire to create the passenger‑centric travel industry. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands‑on engineering leader who thrives in complex, customer‑facing enterprise SaaS environments and brings strong systems thinking. You’ll strengthen operating models, improve cross‑functional collaboration, elevate developer experience and quality practices, and help create a durable foundation for future growth as we scale to serve global airline customers.

  • Build a high‑trust culture with clear roles, ownership, accountability, and career paths across shared services teams
  • Improve developer experience through better tooling, automation, environments, CI/CD practices, and operational standards
  • Develop a deep understanding of the technical architecture and business requirements to identify capacity, reliability, security, and delivery constraints
  • Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with company goals, customer expectations, and engineering priorities
What You Bring
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, QA, or shared engineering services teams in a high‑growth enterprise SaaS environment
  • Strong technical background in cloud‑first architectures, distributed systems, APIs, infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and enterprise software delivery

  • Experience designing scalable systems, reducing operational overhead, and improving reuse, consistency, and maintainability
  • Strong understanding of QA strategy, automated testing, test coverage, defect management, and quality practices across the software development lifecycle
  • Comfort operating in environments with external partners, incomplete requirements, complex delivery dependencies, and high customer expectations
  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical tradeoffs, risks, and priorities clearly and empathetically
  • A hands‑on leadership style with strong attention to detail, a bias for action, and a track record of building healthy, high‑performing teams
