Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Delivery Driver in Surrey, BC. Join our driver team and help bring groceries from store to door with a customer-first approach.

You will operate a fully equipped delivery van, support the online shopping team, meet safety standards, and keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy. A valid BC driver’s license, clean abstract, and Serving It Right are required, along with a can-do attitude and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Valid full BC driver's license (class 5)
• Clean driving record
• Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in a customer service-related role
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing and pushing

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van with a customer-first approach
• Collaborate with online shopping team and customer service to resolve service recovery situations
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and follow road rules
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Surrey, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver's license from BC.
• A clean driver's abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing. Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
