Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring delivery drivers in Victoria, BC. Join a growing team focused on always delivering customer-first service from the store to the door. The role includes driving a company vehicle, handling online orders, and working with the online shopping team to resolve issues.

We provide the vehicle, cover gas, insurance, and maintenance costs. Expect competitive pay at $19.00/hour with Friday pay, benefits and pension eligibility, wellness programs, and opportunities for education

Qualifications

• Valid full BC class 5 driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing.
• Able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency with mobile technology and GPS apps.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van and provide excellent customer-first service.
• Coordinate with online shopping team and customer service to resolve service recovery issues (returns, refunds, etc.).
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate delivery vehicle safely and adhere to traffic rules.
• Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Victoria Save-On-Foods locations in Victoria, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.
• A clean driver’s abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing. Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
