Job summary

KB1 Group is seeking an Automation Engineer (DCS) to support plant control systems in Fort McMurray, AB. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with 40 hours per week and involves providing day-to-day engineering support for DCS platforms.

The candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion/TPS or Emerson DeltaV, plus strong troubleshooting and communication abilities to work across Operations, Maintenance, and Instrumentation teams.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion/TPS or Emerson DeltaV DCS.
Experience in operating industrial plant environments.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for Honeywell Experion/TPS or Emerson DeltaV DCS systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
Develop, modify, test, and implement DCS logic and graphics.
Support commissioning, maintenance, and MOC activities.
Work independently while collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Instrumentation teams.
