An educational institution in Northern Quebec is looking for an IT Asset Operator to manage hardware and software inventory across multiple sites. Responsibilities include conducting physical inventory, maintaining digital records, and providing users with technical support. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Computing Support, proficiency in Inuktitut, French, and English, and two years of relevant experience. Under the guidance of the Coordinator of the Information Technology department, the operator's primary role is to keep and update the inventory of hardware and software across multiple locations. Core responsibilities include conducting physical and digital inventory, assist in the equipment lifecycle processes, and support logistical tasks related to asset movement according to standard procedures. Duties of the operator include, but are not limited to:
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in Computing Support or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
The Board may, at its, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
35 hours per week from Monday to Friday - Partial telework is possible.
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4202: from $24.99 to $27.95 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
