Job summary

Altis Technology in Ottawa, ON is seeking a Data & Analytics Platform Administrator to help maintain a secure, reliable Microsoft data environment. You'll work with analytics professionals, integration developers and stakeholders to strengthen governance, performance and scalability.

The role offers a hybrid model (2 days on site) and exposure to a broad Microsoft tech stack, with opportunities for learning, professional development and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Several years of cloud systems and data platform administration experience.
• College diploma or certificate in CS, CE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, capacities, workspaces and governance controls.
• Oversee Power BI administration, including gateways, security, capacity monitoring, content sharing and usage analytics.
• Manage SQL Server and Azure SQL environments, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, RBAC and high availability.
• Administer Azure data resources and Integration Services, including Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus and Event Grid.
• Manage Microsoft Purview governance, classification, scanning, sensitivity labels, catalog and lineage capabilities.
• Support automation, monitoring and CI/CD processes while maintaining technical documentation, runbooks and architecture diagrams.

Your Responsibilities
Youll administer Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, capacities, workspaces and governance controls.

Skills and Qualifications
Several years of experience administering cloud systems and data platforms, supported by a college diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI administration experience, including tenant governance, workspaces, gateways, RLS/OLS and capacity monitoring.
Strong SQL Server and Azure SQL skills, including T-SQL, performance tuning, backup and restore, and RBAC.
Experience with Microsoft Purview, data governance, classification, scanning and lineage.
Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure Integration Services.
Experience with PowerShell, Git, Azure DevOps CI/CD and infrastructure as code using ARM, Bicep or Terraform.
Experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for platform monitoring and alerting.
