Job summary

Patterson Dental Canada, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide professional service to internal and external customers by responding to inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.

The role supports determining customer needs during calls and contributes to sales through product recommendations. This 6 to 9 months contract position requires strong communication skills, experience in customer service, and knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP and dental industry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or any other relevant experience.
• Previous customer service experience is required, along with excellent verbal/phone communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
• Mastering the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the dental industry is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable customer service and sales support; respond to customer queries, answer questions and solve problems in a timely fashion.
• Identify customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and/or solutions.
• Upgrades telephone orders.
• Introduces and promotes new products during calls.
• Researches and resolves customer problems relating to the merchandise department under guidance of lead customer service representative.
• Participates in and supports campaigns/promotions sponsored by the Marketing Department, Region and/or Branch.
• Maintain a current knowledge of company products, policies and procedures Develop strong working relationships across the business/functions, as well as with customers and manufacturing partners.
• Communicate any pertinent information received from customers to the outside sales representative or appropriate management.
• The Customer Service Representative may perform other duties as assigned.
