LodgeLink is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative for a remote Canada-based position. Join our Customer Experience Team and support reservations via email, phone, and chat, while contributing to content updates and listing management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to teach or explain LodgeLink usage and resolve issues clearly.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for bookings and tickets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with reservation systems and help desk tech is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Help resolve issues and foster positive customer relationships.

Job description

Position : Customer Service Representative (Temp, Part-time)

Location : Remote, Canada

LodgeLink is seeking a Part-time (25-30 hours/week) Customer Service Representative to join our Customer Experience Team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Experience, the Customer Service Representative is a remote work from home position in Canada, with occasional travel to our head office in Calgary, Alberta for special events and training.

This role pays a starting wage of $17-$19 per hour, depending on experience.

Please note: Selected candidates MUST be available for a 3-week training period, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST. After the training, scheduling is flexible.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, dependable, inventive, smart, decisive, able to build strong relationships across the company, identify issues and opportunities. They will embrace LodgeLink’s audaciousness and can operate in an agile environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with reservations (book, cancel, change, create account) via email, phone, and chat support
  • Deliver favorable customer support using customer support tools and personal product knowledge
  • Helping to resolve customer issues and interact with customers in a way that engages, and enhances interactions/relationship with LodgeLink
  • Communicating with both customers and suppliers. Engage with suppliers to enhance customer experience
  • Provide value by asking questions to better understand customer needs to showcase benefits
  • Escalate concerns, track patterns in issues and opportunities to improve customer experience.
  • Create, prepare for review, and publish new property listings to LodgeLink.com, ensuring accurate, brand-aligned, well written and visually appealing representation of each property
  • Organize and manage all web content and assets (photos, etc.) for ease of access and reference
  • Celebrating successes by sharing stories with the team.
Qualifications
  • Available for shifts between the hours of 7:00 am – 11:00 pm (no overnights). Please note: We offer flexibility, advanced scheduling and work with our staff to do our best to accommodate their schedules.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, to teach or explain how to use LodgeLink, or clearly articulate how to resolve an issue, and to create and edit content for website use
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to action and maintain accurate customer bookings and tickets, and manage customer and supplier information
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with reservation systems and help desk technology, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Adobe InDesign (Photoshop) is an asset
  • Thorough understanding of hospitality, remote accommodations industry, and potential clientele needs and crew requirements an asset
