Job summary

Bartle & Gibson is recruiting for a customer service role in the Electrical division. The position handles electrical counter sales, returns, and customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment. You will provide product expertise and aim to build lasting customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred but training provided.
• Knowledge of electrical products is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and process calls and orders.
• Purchase materials for customers and negotiate sales terms.
• Source materials for customers when not in stock.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with orders, pricing, deliveries and service.
• Handle counter sales and returns as needed.

We are currently in search of a career-oriented person to join our Customer Service team, Electrical division. The position operates in a fast-paced, dynamic, rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all electrical counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Purchasing materials for customers and sales negotiations
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Exceptional customer service
• Ability to warm up and develop rapport with potential customers
• Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Previous experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Knowledge of the electrical industry is considered an asset
