Job summary

Bartle & Gibson is seeking a career‑oriented individual for its Customer Service team in the Electrical division. You will manage electrical counter sales, process returns, and assist customers with inquiries, pricing, and orders.

The role emphasizes building rapport, providing expert service, and maintaining long-term customer relationships to drive referrals and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service excellence and ability to engage customers.
• Ability to build rapport with potential customers and maintain relationships.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle electrical counter sales and product returns, processing inquiries and orders.
• Purchase materials for customers and negotiate sales terms.
• Source materials for customers when not in stock and manage follow-ups.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships and satisfaction.
• Support other duties as required by the customer service team.

We are currently in search of a career-oriented person to join our Customer Service team, Electrical division. The position operates in a fast-paced, dynamic, rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all electrical counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Purchasing materials for customers and sales negotiations
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Exceptional customer service
• Ability to warm up and develop rapport with potential customers
• Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Previous experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Knowledge of the electrical industry is considered an asset
