Bartle & Gibson seeks a customer service professional for our Plumbing division in Western Canada. You will engage customers, handle inquiries, process orders, and contribute to a fast-paced, service-oriented team.

role focuses on building rapport, delivering expert product knowledge, and supporting sales through counter operations and returns.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of the plumbing industry is considered an asset.

• Purchasing materials for customers and sales negotiations
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Other duties as required

We are currently in search of a career-oriented person to join our Customer Service team, Plumbing division. The position operates in a fast-paced, dynamic, rewarding environment and will assume responsibility for all electrical counter sales and product returns while providing expertise as a member of the customer service team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Purchasing materials for customers and sales negotiations
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Exceptional customer service
• Ability to warm up and develop rapport with potential customers
• Ability to develop long‑term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self‑motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Previous experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Knowledge of the plumbing industry is considered an asset
