Job summary

Steinbach Credit Union in Manitoba is seeking a Corporate Loans Administrator to support the Corporate Lending team with mortgage and loan documentation, file management, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.

The role requires Grade 12 + 1 year education and 1–3 years experience, asset experience in legal office and land titles is an asset, strong communication, multitasking, and proficiency with Word and Excel. SCU offers a competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Diploma with 1 year of formal education and 1–3 years of experience or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in Legal Secretary/Office Administration would be an asset.
  • Credit Union experience or external legal office experience with real estate docs is an asset.
  • Experience using Land Titles online and eRegistration is an asset.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with ability to relate to members and staff.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent service, problem solving and time management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain corporate loan files.
  • Prepare documentation for new credit facilities, renewals, extensions and payment suspensions.
  • Resolve lending issues related to mortgage renewals, corporate loans, pre-authorized transfers and lines of credit.
  • Conduct Land Title investigations, property assessments, property tax reviews and registries.
  • Provide information to other lending institutions and law offices as required.

We currently have an opportunity for aCorporate Loans Administratorto join our Steinbach team. As a Corporate Loans Administrator, you will assist the Corporate Lending department with delivering exceptional member service, by providing mortgage and loan administrative support and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain corporate loan files
  • Prepare related documentation for new credit facilities, renewals, extensions, and/or payment suspension/alteration
  • Resolve routine lending related problems and concerns with mortgage renewals, corporate loans, pre-authorized transfers, lines of credit and other lending services
  • Conduct Land Title investigations, property assessments, property tax reviews and personal property registries
  • Provide information to other lending institutions and law offices as required
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 Diploma, plus one year of formal education and 1 to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Post-secondary education in Legal Secretary/Office Administration would be an asset
  • Credit Union experience and/or experience gained externally in a legal office (with real estate documentation) would be an asset
  • Experience using Land Titles online and eRegistration would be considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills and listening skills, coupled with the ability to develop effective working relationships with members and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent service delivery, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel
