Job summary

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Diploma plus two years of formal business-related education or equivalent.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales and business development targets through proactive relationship building, opportunity identification, and solution-based conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products and services to members and prospective members by proactively identifying and participating in member contact opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen member relationships by identifying and delivering additional services to existing Corporate Membership including all business products, referring when necessary.
  • Deliver a needs-based style of advice according to SCU’s service delivery model.
  • Prepare and review current opportunities to provide holistic corporate membership advice.
  • Solicit new opportunities leveraging the request for proposal portal to attract corporate, charitable, MUSH, Small to Medium Enterprise, etc. prospects.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries, providing solutions to questions and concerns while partnering with the AVP, Wealth & Business Solutions on more complex issues.
  • Support the creation and delivery of proposals and presentations.
  • Process transactions in the banking system and process applications consistent with member instructions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Deliver CAFT services to corporate members.
  • Process loan applications for members accurately and efficiently and when outside of discretionary limits, provide recommendations and/or obtain authorization from relevant lending authorities.
  • Analyze financial information and assess suitability of SCU products and services.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Foster business development through service excellence and teamwork.

We currently have an opportunity for the Corporate Relationship Associate to join our Wealth Management team! The Corporate Relationship Associate delivers exceptional member experience and ensures sound decision-making by preparing and providing information related to member accounts, following up with opportunities to enhance the member experience and providing advice to our corporate membership in Winnipeg and Steinbach.

Traveling between branches will be required for this position.
