Job summary

MNP LLP in Winnipeg, MB is seeking an HR Generalist to coordinate human capital activities including total rewards, learning and development, recruitment and performance management.

You will assist with recruitment, manage onboarding, maintain employee data records, administer compensation and promotions, support payroll interfaces, and contribute to process improvements while staying flexible for travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • HR degree or diploma with HR specialty.
  • 1–2 years HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer human capital activities including total rewards, learning and development, recruitment and performance management.
  • Assist with recruitment and selection, produce job offers and conduct reference checks.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage terminations as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of the recruitment database; post jobs, update postings, and manage candidates through the applicant tracking system.
  • Utilize acquisition and social media platforms to build talent pool.
  • Lead, coordinate and deliver orientation and manage onboarding logistics.
  • Manage employee data records including manual files, payroll and HRIS updates.
  • Complete administration of compensation, regional promotions, transfers and annual performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate the facilitation of learning and development programs including on-site logistics, equipment, catering, registration and course materials.
  • Prepare presentations for internal business; facilitate workgroups, training sessions and meetings.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries; serve as a link between leadership and team members by managing inquiries, employee relations and educating on self-service options.
  • Compile statistical reports and metrics on programs such as campus, compensation data, etc.
  • Communicate disability management matters with benefits team members, provide support to payroll teams to manage payroll issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely filing of human resource correspondence, invoices, receipts and office records.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.

Skills and Experience
  • Post-secondary education and accreditation with HR specialty
  • 1 to 2 years of HR experience is preferred
