Job summary

MNP in Edmonton is seeking a Senior Consultant for Consulting - Human Resources. The role focuses on integrating HR considerations into client strategy, structure, systems and processes.

Responsibilities include delivering engagements, building HR programs, leading teams, mentoring juniors, and contributing to business development across private and not-for-profit sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, organizational development, organizational psychology, behavioural sciences or related field.
  • 4 to 5 years of progressive human resources experience in entrepreneurial or changing environments.
  • Experience building and rolling out HR programs.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements focused on organization and people services.
  • Provide HR support to clients on a fractional basis, including building HR systems and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Propose, plan and deliver consulting engagements with a focus on organization and people services in the private, and not-for-profit sectors
  • Provide HR support and services to clients on a fractional basis including building and rolling out HR systems, processe s and tools, advising leaders, and responding to emerging issues.
  • Execute projects related to talent management, performance management, human resource strategy and policy development , compens ation, change management, organizational review and design,
  • Develop project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct detailed research and data collection, interviews, focus groups and surveys
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and consolidate results to provide meaningful conclusions and recommendations
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
  • Review, design and develop high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations and other correspondence
  • Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, organizational development, organizational psychology, behavioural sciences or other related field
  • CPHR, Prosci, CMC, PMP or other related designations or certifications are considered an asset
  • 4 to 5 years of progressive human resources experience, ideally in a entrepreneurial and/or changing environment
  • Experience building and rolling out HR programs
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
