Job summary

MNP is seeking a Regional Human Capital Coordinator to join our Calgary team. You will coordinate HR activities across total rewards, learning and development, recruitment and performance management, while supporting payroll and HRIS updates.

You will assist with recruitment, onboarding, departures, and maintain the recruitment database. The role emphasizes strong communication, discretion, and a collaborative approach across departments.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or a related field is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of HR experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills to effectively support team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and partner effectively with team members, leaders, and external contacts.
  • High emotional intelligence and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments and contributes to a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer human capital activities including total rewards, learning and development, recruitment and performance management
  • Assist with recruitment and selection, including setting up interviews, conducting phone screens, completing reference checks, and preparing job offers
  • Assist with preparing paperwork and managing departures as appropriate
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of the recruitment database; post jobs, update postings, and manage candidates through the applicant tracking system
  • Utilize acquisition and social media platforms to build talent pool
  • Lead, coordinate and deliver orientation and manage onboarding logistics
  • Manage team member data records including payroll and HRIS updates
  • Conduct regular Human Capital compliance audits such as employee terms, payroll, time entry, and performance management
  • Complete administration of compensation, regional promotions, transfers and annual performance evaluations
  • Coordinate the facilitation of learning and development programs including on-site logistics, equipment, catering, registration and course materials
  • Prepare, review and modify templates, letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel workbooks and other correspondence
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries; serve as a link between leadership and team members by managing inquiries, employee relations and educating on self-service options
  • Support and implement firm policies and guidelines as required
  • Submit payroll transactions and provide support to payroll teams to manage payroll issues
  • Maintain accurate and timely filing of human resource correspondence, invoices, receipts and office records
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
