Job summary

MNP LLP in Toronto is seeking a Generalist, Regional Human Capital for a 2-year term to provide broad HR support across the region. You’ll partner with leaders to attract, develop, and retain talent, manage HRIS data, and contribute to workforce planning.

This role emphasizes employee relations, data accuracy, compensation analysis, and learning initiatives, with travel as needed. The ideal candidate has HR education and CHRP/CPHR progress, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field with an HR specialization.
• Completion of, or actively working towards, a CPHR/CHRP designation.
• 3–5 years of experience in an HR role with generalist responsibilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills for collaboration with employees and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience administering HRIS systems.
• Experience in the professional services industry is an asset.

• Conduct exit and stay interviews, managing terminations as appropriate.
• Maintain and update employee records, including payroll and HRIS data.
• Administer promotions, transfers, job classifications, compensation, and annual performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exit and stay interviews, managing terminations as appropriate
• Maintain and update employee records, including manual files, payroll, and HRIS systems
• Maintain accurate employee data and records in our HRIS, conducting regular audits and data validation
• Administer promotions, transfers, job classifications, compensation, and annual performance evaluations
• Conduct compensation analysis to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity, providing recommendations for offers
• Facilitate talent roundtables to support succession planning, career development, and workforce planning, playing a key role in the talent management process
• Serve as a trusted advisor Provide guidance and support to team members and business leaders on various HR matters, including policies, compliance, employee relations, problem resolution, total rewards, and performance management
• Prepare and deliver presentations for internal business purposes, facilitating workgroups, training sessions, and meetings
• Compile and analyze ad hoc statistical reports, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations
• Assist in the facilitation of learning and development programs
• Contribute to key Human Capital year-end processes by developing workbooks and analysis to support Regional Human Capital Managers in executing critical initiatives
• Collaborate with the Regional Human Capital Managers to navigate HR processes and initiatives, including performance reviews, employee relations, engagement, talent management, and compensation
• Partner with HC colleagues to drive efficiencies and enhance processes across the team
• Support organizational changes by providing coaching, communication guidance, and change management support
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring leaders to support workforce needs and the overall recruitment experience for candidates
• Maintain flexibility to travel as needed

Skills and Experience

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, with an HR specialization
• Completion of, or actively working towards, a CPHR/CHRP designation
• 3–5 years of experience in an HR role, with exposure to generalist responsibilities
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, business leaders, and HR colleagues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience navigating and administering HRIS systems
• Previous experience in the professional services industry is considered an asset
