Job summary

Simon Fraser University is seeking a Coordinator, Academic Program for the School of Computing Science in Burnaby. The role oversees delivery of programs and supports managers, directors, and faculty in curriculum changes and student advisement.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience in post-secondary program administration and advising. A hybrid-work arrangement is available with APSA benefits and professional development funds.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computing Science or a related discipline and three years of related experience, including program administration and academic advising.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning, problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent project management and event planning skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful delivery of the academic programs in the School of Computing Science.

About the Role

The Coordinator, Academic Program, oversees the successful delivery of the academic programs in the School of Computing Science. Provides administrative and operational support to Managers and the Directors of the Academic Programs. Supports faculty in curriculum program changes, and manages the ongoing evaluation/planning of the administrative and recruitment activities for the Program, including oversight of the Program's web presence, social media activities, and provides academic advice and administrative support to current and prospective students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computing Science or a related discipline, and three years of related experience, including experience in program administration and academic advising within a post-secondary setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
