Job summary

Bird Construction in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Data Entry Specialist for an eight-month contract to support the Finance team. You will accurately enter invoice data into our document management system and coordinate with site teams to ensure timely submissions.

You will review invoices, code them, match to POs, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized digital records. The role offers potential transition to full-time after the contract.

Qualifications

• Data administration experience of at least 2 years.
• Construction industry experience is an asset.
• Experience with OnBase and Viewpoint Accounting is an asset.
• Excellent communications skills and customer service mindset.
• Ability to manage a large volume of work and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
• Ability to build positive relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming supplier and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and coding.
• Index invoices into OnBase and Viewpoint accounting systems.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and packing slips when applicable.
• Flag discrepancies and communicate with internal teams for resolution.
• Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain organized digital records of invoices.
• Assist with generating reports and reconciling accounts as needed.
• Liaise with project teams, vendors, and clients, maintaining positive relationships.
• Provide other administrative support by operations staff and project teams.
• Other duties as required.
