Job summary

Connexa Group is seeking a Construction/Municipal Survey Crew Chief in Calgary, AB. The role involves legal surveys, layout of building foundations, and surveying facilities, with travel to out-of-town sites as needed. The work is outdoors in all seasons and requires mentorship of survey assistants.

Candidates should have a geomatics degree/diploma and experience leading survey crews, plus strong communication skills and client liaison abilities. Safety is a priority.

Responsibilities

• Legal surveys for subdivisions, condominiums, and development permits.
• Construction survey layout of building foundations.
• Survey facilities, layouts, piles, and grading.
• Travel as needed to out-of-town sites.
• Work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
• Follow safety protocol.
• Prepare field notes, records, and calculations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants.
