Job description

Randstad is excited to partner with a Construction Management / General Contracting company in Hamilton that focuses on commercial and residential construction. Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator with a strong track record in commercial / residential projects, preferably with full-cycle project experience. The Project Coordinator will work in the office, with occasional site visits, and will plan and prepare project schedules under the guidance of the Project Manager. This individual will also coordinate and schedule subcontractors on job sites and work closely with the Site Superintendent to monitor and track project progress.

Responsibilities
  1. Order materials and coordinate delivery to the job site
  2. Schedule crew members weekly
  3. Organize project folders and update documents
  4. Work with the Site Superintendent to monitor project progress
  5. Schedule and record project update meetings with stakeholders
  6. Assist Project Manager with estimating costs for bids (RFQs)
  7. Respond to RFIs from subcontractors
  8. Oversee subcontractor and material costs to stay within budget
  9. Read and understand construction drawings
  10. Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, information requests, and change orders
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator in the ICI construction industry or related field
  2. Knowledge of construction scopes, activities, scheduling, project management, and contract software
  3. Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Procore preferred
  4. Experience with Ontario construction codes
