Our client is a leading transportation solutions provider specializing in truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), and port services across North America (non-asset-based freight forwarding brokerage). They deliver tailored shipping solutions to meet the unique business needs of a diverse client base, leveraging a technology-driven logistics approach and a commitment to outstanding client service satisfaction that offers clients real-time, full visibility into their cargo's status and location. Business is accelerating rapidly, and their team is growing to support the demand.

JOB SUMMARY

Our client has hired Lock Search Group to help them identify and hire a customer-centric, highly experienced Project Coordinator to join their growing team based in Burlington ON Canada. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will own end-to-end responsibility for global project cargo logistics, coordinating shipments across ocean, air, and trucking networks, ensuring smooth operations across North America, Europe, and Mexico. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in project cargo logistics, specifically within North American land transportation. Ocean and Air freight forwarding partners are leveraged to get cargo to North America, where the Project Coordinator will own full scope of transportation coordination once cargo has landed.

Career growth opportunities abound as it is forecasted that the customer demand for project cargo will increase, require more project cargo professionals and a growing department over time. Not to mention growing your career within through different departments of the organization.

  • Conducting market research for customer quoting and identifying spot market opportunities.
  • Addressing service issues with Account Managers and providing solutions to client concerns.
  • Assisting in business development efforts and researching carrier costs for both new and existing customers.
  • Adhering to company policies and ensuring all operational systems are followed correctly.
  • Providing occasional after-hours or holiday support if needed.

  • Strong knowledge of various truckload operations (Port Drayage, TL, LTL, etc.).
  • Experience with TMS software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
