Construction Project Administrator
  • Pay Rate: $55.83/hour inc, depending on experience
  • Contract Length: 13 months and 22 days
  • Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Raise is currently hiring a Construction Project Administrator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.

Description

The Construction Project Administrator in this role will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to our construction management team (CMT). In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping construction projects running efficiently by managing contractor mobilizations, streamlining document control processes, and facilitating clear communication across dynamic, fast-paced project environments.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative & Team Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the construction management team, ensuring daily operational workflows run smoothly.
  • Contractor Mobilization & Logistics: Coordinate contractor pre-mobilization deliverables, travel logistics (flights), training tracking, and ongoing site support.
  • Construction Document Tracking: Manage the seamless exchange of Requests for Information (RFIs), Site Instructions (SIs), and technical documentation between contractors and the CMT.
  • Document Control Administration: Administer document control workflows efficiently to ensure accurate version control, accessibility, and archiving of critical project files.
Qualifications
  • 4 to 9 years of progressive experience in an administrative support capacity, ideally within construction, engineering, or project management environments
  • A self-starter with a proven ability to learn, adapt, and independently master new concepts, software, and digital project management tools quickly.
  • Direct practical experience coordinating contractor onboarding, pre-mobilization compliance, logistics (travel/training), and stakeholder tracking.
  • Demonstrated capability in administering structured document control processes, managing high volumes of technical documentation (such as RFIs and Site Instructions), and maintaining meticulous digital registers.
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface and coordinate requirements between external contractors, internal teams, and management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to ruthlessly prioritize tasks and manage workflows in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Education and Certifications
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline, or A technical diploma or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Architectural Technology is considered a strong asset.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant intermediate-level administrative experience and specialized training/certifications will also be considered.
