Job summary

Skookum Scaffolding Ltd. in Delta, BC is seeking an estimator with hands-on construction experience to prepare labour and material cost estimates and read blueprints to determine work requirements.

You will prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, measure and join materials, schedule and coordinate work on sites, supervise 3–4 workers, and estimate costs and materials to keep projects on track. On-site work experience and accuracy in budgeting are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of construction estimating experience.
• College or diploma in a related field.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• On-site work experience preferred.

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
