Job summary

CPT Construction in Ontario is seeking an experienced construction worker to read blueprints and translate them into precise onsite layouts. You will measure, cut, shape and join wood, and help build foundations, walls and roof systems.

You will also supervise and train apprentices, estimate costs and materials, and uphold safety and building-code standards while renovating residences and industrial structures.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials such as wood and metal.
• Build foundations, erect walls and roof systems.
• Instruct apprentices.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
