Job summary

Sika Canada is seeking a Lab Technician to join our R&D/Quality team at the plant. You will perform quality control testing, support R&D projects, and report results to the R&D Engineer or Supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent).
Relevant concrete lab or field experience is a plus.
ACI technician certification is an asset.
Ability to communicate in French and English (verbal and written).
Experience with MS Office/Outlook/Excel; ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

Quality control testing of plant production; verify samples and report results.
Report non-conforming results to R&D Engineer or Supervisor.
Perform lab tests for R&D projects and communicate results.
Maintain lab equipment and report supply shortages.
Test for Operations to improve plant efficiency and rework non-conforming product.
Assist weekly meetings with R&D Engineer and Supervisor.
Support sales by testing non-conforming products and reporting results.
Report technical results from job-site data collected by sales team.
Maintain laboratory facilities and cleanliness.
