DECIEM is expanding and seeks a Quality Control Chemist at our Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke, ON. You will test and release raw materials, packaging, bulk products, and finished goods to meet quality standards.

Join a fast-paced team and contribute to regulatory compliance, good laboratory practices, and accurate documentation. Prior 1–2 years QC experience required; strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in quality control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivation and ability to solve complex problems.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluation on raw materials and packaging components per Deciem SOPs.
• Test and release incoming materials (color, odor, texture, pH, viscosity, FTIR, titration).
• Verify and release incoming packaging components.
• Perform calibration and verification of lab equipment (pH meter, viscometer, scales, thermometer).
• Organize and store retained samples of raw materials and packaging components.
• Collaborate with inventory control and warehouse to ensure testing per procedures.
• Liaise with Design, Regulatory and R&D for new material launches.
• Address packaging component questions from operations or third parties.
• Document activities and results per quality standards.
• Follow GLP, GDP, and internal procedures; ensure compliance.
