Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is opening a brand-new Campus of Care in Brantford and seeks a Concierge to warmly welcome residents, families and visitors. This role supports daily operations and ensures guest needs are met with professionalism.

The successful candidate will have grade 12 education, strong communication and customer service skills, and proficiency in MS Office. You will contribute to a caring, dignified living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Completion of grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven customer service experience and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must meet police check and health screening requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all resident and visitor inquiries with diplomacy and problem solving.
• Promote excellent customer service in all interactions with visitors, families, residents and staff.
• Greet visitors and conduct mini tours per policies and procedures.
• Provide clerical and computer support to managers as requested.
• Complete records supporting cash transactions for guest and staff meals/vouchers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Concierge your typical day will impact in the following ways:

• Responding to all resident and visitor enquiries as their first priority in a diplomatic manner, utilizing problem solving and complaint resolution skills and ensures all complaints are forwarded to the General Manager in writing.
• Promoting excellent customer service in all personal interactions with visitors, families, residents and team members.
• Greeting all visitors to the building and ensures that their needs are addressed in a pleasant and unhurried fashion and conducts mini tours in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Providing clerical and computer support to all managers as requested.
• Completing required records to support cash transactions related to the sale of guest and team member meal vouchers / tickets.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Must haves:

• Completion of grade 12 education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and proven customer service skills through related work experience.
• Proven organizational skills and ability to multi task.
• Must demonstrate computer proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check. Applicable to British Columbia applicants.

Bonus Points for having:

• Additional applied courses i.e. office administration preferred.
