Job summary

Marigolds and Onions is seeking Concession Managers to oversee food and beverage operations at one of the year’s premier golf and tennis tournaments. You will manage a busy concession, lead staff and volunteers, maintain service standards, and ensure smooth execution throughout the event.

This seasonal role requires detail-oriented, calm leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about guest experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Smart Serve Certification.
• Previous management and/or event experience is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable overseeing teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Proven ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Location Setup & Preparation – assist in preparing concession locations, including cleaning, equipment setup and testing, stocking merchandisers, and organizing condiment stations.
• Staff & Volunteer Oversight – ensure staff and volunteers arrive punctually for scheduled shifts, provide guidance and leadership, ensuring alcohol service compliance.
• Training & Support – become proficient in the POS system and train cashiers and volunteers on its proper use.
• Inventory Management – monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and dry goods across locations; coordinate restocking with inventory team.
• Alcohol Compliance – oversee all alcohol service to ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
• Quality Control – conduct routine checks for food/beverage quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Customer Experience – maintain guest-focused service and address concerns promptly.
• Team Collaboration – work with other managers and inventory teams to ensure consistency.
