Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Concessions Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of all concession stands during events in Hamilton, Ontario. You will set up and maintain concession areas, supervise staff, ensure health and safety standards, and support overall event success while earning $24.00 CAD per hour and being tip eligible.

Responsibilities

• Oversee set-up and readiness of all concession stands prior to each event.
• Assign duties to staff and volunteers; ensure staffing coverage and operational efficiency.
• Monitor food production, inventory levels, and cash handling procedures.
• Train new and current staff on procedures, best practices, and guest service standards.
• Step in to support or backfill any position as needed to maintain service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with Premium Services operations and special event needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and harassment-free work environment; promptly report and address safety issues.
• Supervise alcohol service, including ID checks and managing over-service situations.
• Support POS transactions, order processing, and guest interaction when needed.
• Ensure all equipment is operational and sanitation standards are met.
• Enforce company policies and procedures; model professional conduct at all times.
• Coach and counsel staff as needed; complete related HR documentation.
• Assist with inventory, training sessions, and other projects assigned by management.

Position Summary

This role pays an hourly rate of $24.00 CAD and is tip eligible.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including co-workers, customers and management, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
• A food handling certificate is preferred
• Smart serve qualification is essential
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
