AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents at Generations Toronto's long-term care home. Reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, you will assist with setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

You will help maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness, participate in events, and support new dietary staff. A Food Handler's Certificate is required; experience with seniors and strong customer service are valued; you must

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference for experience with seniors in food service.
• Must have or be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Second language is a plus.
• Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a courteous manner.
• Assist with setup and preparation of meals and beverages.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and kitchen areas.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness and assist with events
• Assist with orientation and training of new dietary staff
