Job summary

AgeCare is recruiting a Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate care in alignment with individualized care plans. The role focuses on resident safety, documentation, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive team environment.

The Successful candidate will participate in ongoing education, adhere to IPAC guidelines, and assist in onboarding new staff, with a competitive compensation and benefits package in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to ensure alignment with the care plan and reports findings to supervisor.
• Assists in documenting resident care information as directed.
• Attends in-service education, staff meetings, and workshops as directed.
• Assists in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Follows IPAC policies and procedures.
