Job summary

AgeCare, a multi-community elder care provider in Canada, seeks a Personal Support Worker to deliver compassionate resident care per care plans and to identify changing resident needs. You will monitor care, document observations, and support a safe, respectful living environment for residents and staff.

You will participate in training, help onboard new staff, and adhere to IPAC policies to maintain sanitation and safety across our communities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
• Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
• Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in monitoring care to ensure compliance with the care plan.
• Assists in documenting information pertaining to resident care.
• Attends in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
• Assists in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Must follow IPAC policies and procedures.
