Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate, resident-centered care within our teams. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor care according to individualized plans, and document information to keep care teams informed.

You will participate in in-service education, assist with onboarding of new staff, and uphold IPAC policies to maintain a safe environment for residents and colleagues. This role supports AgeCare's mission of quality, respect, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate PSW certificate/diploma.
• Meet vocational standards established by relevant bodies.
• Know sanitation basics and geriatric bedside care.
• Follow care plans and IPAC policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring resident care per care plan and report findings to supervisor.
• Document care information as directed.
• Attend in-service sessions and team meetings.
• Assist in onboarding new staff as directed.
• Follow IPAC policies and procedures.

Education

Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma

Ministry vocational standards

National Association of Career Colleges standards

Ontario Community Support Association standards

Knowledge of bedside care and sanitation
