Job summary

Bigstone Health Commission seeks a compassionate Home Care Support Worker to assist elders at home, promoting health, safety, and independence in a respectful, culturally aware manner.

The role requires Alberta Health Care Aide registration, and experience with elders or home care is preferred. Duties include daily living assistance, light housekeeping, and documenting care activities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Registration with Alberta Health Care Aide requirements.
• Experience with elders or in community home care preferred.
• Ability to operate safely in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide light housekeeping, meal prep, and laundry support.
• Support safe mobility and exercises per care plans.
• Report changes to client condition to Home Care Manager.
• Maintain documentation and follow infection control practices.
• Provide culturally safe, client-centered care.
