Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Health Care Aide to join our Calgary team in Alberta. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver safe and thorough basic care to residents with dignity and compassion.

You will perform resident-focused tasks within your scope of practice, observe changes for care planning, assist mobility and activities, and maintain accurate documentation while upholding our values of trust, respect, quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate course and registration in the Health Care Aide Directory.
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Solid planning, time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and stay flexible in a demanding environment.
• Demonstrates AgeCare values and an empathetic attitude toward others.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-focused care within full scope of practice.
• Observe residents for changes and contribute to care plans.
• Assist and accompany residents with mobility and participation in activities.
• Report unsafe activities that may harm residents.
