Job summary

AgeCare Alberta invites applications for a Health Care Aide (HCA) dedicated to resident safety and comfort. Under a Staff Nurse, you will deliver basic care, assist with transfers, meals, and personal care, while following care plans and safety protocols. Experience preferred; English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English both orally and in writing.
• Completion of a PCA/HCA 2002 or greater certificate or equivalent.
• Active registration with the CLHA.

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP and water procedures.
• Transfer/assist with resident transfers using lifts and PPE as required.
• Feed/assist with meals and refer to care plans for diets.
• Provide routine treatments and care under supervision.
• Assist residents with mobility around the facility.
• Support dining room transitions and social/therapy activities.
• Assist to the beauty parlor, physiotherapy, and recreation activities.
• Accompany residents to social events within the facility.
