Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Health Care Aide in Calgary, Alberta to join our care team. You will work under a Staff Nurse to deliver safe, thorough basic care and services to residents, including bathing, transfers, feeding, and routine treatments.

Ideal candidates will have a PCA/HCA certificate, Alberta CLHA registration, and at least one year of relevant experience. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within AgeCare communities.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment is preferred.
• Completion of a recognized PCA/HCA certificate course or equivalent education.
• Active registration with CLHA (Alberta Health Care Aides).

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP and safety procedures.
• Assist with transfers using ceiling lifts or mechanical lifts and PPE.
• Feed or assist with feeding during meals and snacks.
• Provide routine treatments under supervision of a Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents to move around the facility and attend activities.
• Accompany residents to social and therapy functions inside the facility.
