Job summary

AgeCare Mount Royal is hiring a Health Care Aide (HCA) to join the care team in Calgary. You will support residents with personal care, mobility, feeding, transfers, and mobility aids under the guidance of a Staff Nurse.

The role requires a PCA/HCA certificate, CLHA registration, and English fluency; a minimum of one year in continuing care is preferred. This is a temporary part-time position with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in continuing care or related environment preferred.
• Completion of a recognized Personal Care Aide (PCA/HCA 2002 or greater) certificate.
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).

Responsibilities

• Bath, shower, and wash residents according to the NCP and water-temperature controls.
• Assist with transfers using ceiling/mechanical lifts and transfer belts.
• Feed residents during meals and follow diet plans in care plans.
• Provide routine treatments and care under supervision of a Staff Nurse.
• Assist residents to and from dining, therapy, and recreation activities.
