Job summary

HUB International in Toronto seeks a Commercial Account Assistant to support the busy surety workflow. You will prepare and process surety bond documentation across Canada, answer client queries, and coordinate with insurance companies.

The role expects 2+ years in administrative support, proficiency with MS Office, and strong communication. RIBO license is an asset; experience with surety is a plus in a fast-paced team environment.

About The Role HUB International continues to grow and we are looking for a strong Commercial Account Assistant to effectively support the busy account workflow for our Surety Practice in downtown Toronto. This is an ideal role for an individual who is responsive, can handle a high volume of work, and has strong customer service. This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in learning and supporting a growing niche market.

What You’ll Do

• Preparing and processing surety bond documentation across Canada
• Answering client queries and communicating with insurance companies
• Uploading documentation to various systems and setting up electronic client files in Epic
• Maintaining an effective abeyance system
• Assisting and supporting Account Managers and responding to client inquiries
• Helping where required and performing all other duties as assigned by Account Team

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

• Typically, 2 + years of administrative support experience required
• RIBO Licensed an asset
• Surety knowledge or experience as an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook, and other technologies i.e. Adobe
• Strong organizational, time, and client management skills
• Detail-Oriented with strong initiative and follow-up skills
• Effective communication skills: verbal and written
• Strong team player
• Proactive and customer-focused approach

The expected salary range for this position is $48,000-$55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
