Job summary

Jobtailor in Ajax, Ontario seeks an experienced Commercial Insurance sales and service professional to advise small businesses on coverage, quote policies, and grow a proactive client book.

You will conduct needs assessments, tailor insurance solutions, and build strong relationships with clients while handling renewals and new business opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, sales, and/or call center experience.
• RIBO is required (or willingness to obtain it)
• Previous P&C Insurance experience is a definite asset.
• Excellent customer service skills; customer-focused and able to resolve conflicts effectively
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Accountable, goal-oriented and proactive
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment
• Candidates are solely responsible for maintaining their work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line Commercial Insurance sales and customer service for small businesses
• Service ongoing client needs and advise on insurance matters
• Conduct needs assessments and recommend insurance solutions
• Quote and sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients
• Retain existing book of business through inbound and outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in clients
• Prepare documentation for insurers and complete client applications
• Issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals
• Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policies
• Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
• Participate in training initiatives and community marketing initiatives
• Process accounts receivable activities
• Provide guidance and assistance as requested
• Build trusted relationships with small business clients and tailor insurance coverage
