Job summary

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Insurance License is required.
  • 1 year of commercial insurance experience is an asset.
  • 1 year of general insurance industry experience is an asset.
  • Industry designations CIP, CAIB, CRM or related diploma are assets.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Clear and credible written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist producers and marketers with servicing commercial accounts.
  • Meet clients’ needs and process documentation including Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, and Client Correspondence.
  • Review insurer policy documentation for accuracy before forwarding to clients.
  • Contact clients for renewal information.
  • Take client calls and answer coverage questions.
  • Accept and process online quotes.
  • Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price with the producer.
  • Update client information as changes occur.
  • Answer account-related questions and requests from clients, lawyers, and banks.
  • Provide policy and coverage information to clients.
  • Support the floater position with regular duties.
  • Work closely with Commercial Account Producers and Marketers to build long-term client relationships.

Job description

Requirements
