Job summary

Sovereign Insurance, a unit of The Co-operators, is seeking a Claims professional to join the National Commercial Auto team. You will investigate, evaluate, and determine coverage for commercial auto claims, negotiate settlements, and apply policy guidelines to deliver strong client service.

The role supports hybrid work with in-office presence required at least twice per week, and opportunities to cross-train in Injury, Liability, and Property lines as part of career development.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Commercial Auto (Bodily Injury, General Liability, Third Party Property Damage) is an asset.
• Knowledge of Policy Wordings and Claims Handling procedures.
• Background check is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and examine coverage for Commercial Auto Physical Damage losses.
• Investigate claims within authority and coordinate with adjusters, vendors, and solicitors.
• Apply knowledge of coverage, procedures, and negotiation tactics to settle claims.
• Maintain appropriate reserves in line with policy and company guidelines.
• Foster positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
