Job summary

Intact Public Entities in Cambridge, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner to handle a diverse range of casualty and property claims. You’ll apply expert technical knowledge, guide settlements, and collaborate with brokers, insureds, and underwriters to deliver exceptional service.

This role offers a 35-hour week, a hybrid work model, and a strong compensation package including an annual bonus plan and an employee share purchase plan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of casualty claims handling and insurance litigation experience.
• Active CIP/CRM training or licensed in legal profession.
• University degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review coverage and draft communication for claims.
• Develop resolution strategies based on loss, liability, and coverage.
• Direct counsel and adjusters on complex claims settlements.
• Analyze expert reports and litigation documents.
• Maintain detailed claim files and generate management reports.
• Update reserves and respond to external inquiries.
• Deliver superior customer service to insureds, brokers and underwriters.
• Attend mediations and other milestones with counsel.
