Thrifty-Foods Victoria is seeking a Meat Wrapper to provide exceptional customer service and manage the full range of meat and poultry wrapping duties. You will ensure accurate labeling, pricing and dating while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include product rotation, stock handling, and assisting with training junior staff, with opportunities to contribute to store sales through proactive customer engagement and merchandising.

• Promote products to increase store sales.
• Train junior staff as needed.
• Order and receive stock following inventory procedures.
• Maintain and prepare meat products for service, if applicable.
• Process department shrink and related tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Meat Wrapper is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, accurate and timely fashion. The Meat Wrapper will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Accurately wraps, packages, prices, labels, and dates all meat and poultry products in a financially responsible manner
• Keep work area clean and presentable at all times
• Handle, organize, and rotate products in accordance with company standards
• Accurately records information in all appropriate logs
• Perform program execution and merchandising product, following company presentation standards
• Handle and prepare deli products in accordance with company quality standards and food safety protocols
• Increase store sales by actively promoting products
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures
• Maintain and prepare meat products for service case, if applicable
• Process department shrink
