Thrifty-Foods is hiring a Meat Wrapper in Delta, BC. The role focuses on accurate meat preparation, friendly customer service, and adherence to safety protocols. You will wrap, label, price, and date products while ensuring stock is rotated and presented to company standards.

Ideal candidates can stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible daytime and early-morning shifts in a fast-paced environment. You will support training of junior staff and help increase store sales.

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs.
• Wrap, package, price, label, and date all meat and poultry products accurately.
• Keep work area clean and presentable at all times.
• Handle, organize, and rotate products per company standards.
• Accurately record information in logs and logs.
• Promote products to increase store sales.
• Train junior staff and participate in inventory control.

The Meat Wrapper is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, accurate and timely fashion. The Meat Wrapper will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Accurately wraps, packages, prices, labels, and dates all meat and poultry products in a financially responsible manner
• Keep work area clean and presentable at all times
• Handle, organize, and rotate products in accordance with company standards
• Accurately records information in all appropriate logs
• Perform program execution and merchandising product, following company presentation standards
• Handle and prepare deli products in accordance with company quality standards and food safety protocols
• Increase store sales by actively promoting products
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures
• Maintain and prepare meat products for service case, if applicable
• Process department shrink
• Other duties as required
