Job summary

Thrifty-Foods is hiring a Meat Wrapper in Delta to deliver professional service, wrap and label meat products, and ensure safety standards. You will assist customers, keep a clean workspace, and rotate stock while supporting training for junior staff.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work flexible hours including early shifts. You’ll contribute to store sales through accurate packaging and engaging product presentation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, SOPs and health and safety guidelines.
• Provide customer service to meet customer needs.
• Wrap, package, price, label and date meat and poultry accurately.
• Maintain a clean, presentable work area at all times.
• Handle, rotate and stock products according to standards.
• Record information in logs accurately.
• Execute program merchandising and product presentation standards.
• Prepare deli products per company quality standards and safety protocols.
• Promote products to increase store sales.
• Assist in training junior staff.
• Order and receive stock following inventory procedures.
• Maintain meat for service cases and manage shrink.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Meat Wrapper is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, accurate and timely fashion. The Meat Wrapper will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives
• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Accurately wraps, packages, prices, labels, and dates all meat and poultry products in a financially responsible manner
• Keep work area clean and presentable at all times
• Handle, organize, and rotate products in accordance with company standards
• Accurately records information in all appropriate logs
• Perform program execution and merchandising product, following company presentation standards
• Handle and prepare deli products in accordance with company quality standards and food safety protocols
• Increase store sales by actively promoting products
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures
• Maintain and prepare meat products for service case, if applicable
• Process department shrink
• Other duties as required
