Job summary

Drive Autogroup in Canada is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. The Estimator greets customers, accurately assesses damage to vehicles, and provides repair estimates as per insurance guidelines and standards of Drive Autogroup.

You will evaluate repair feasibility, collaborate with shop managers, and prepare insurance forms while maintaining exceptional customer service throughout the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with college/technical certificate or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in estimating or a similar role
• Experience with collision management systems
• Proficient in MS Office and strong communication

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of damage
• Estimate labor and parts costs for repairs
• Review estimates with body shop manager
• Escalate to another appraiser if there is disagreement on cost
• Determine feasibility of repair vs replacement of parts
• Evaluate repair versus vehicle market value before accident
• Determine salvage value on total loss
• Prepare insurance forms with repair cost estimates and recommendations
• Estimate repainting or customization costs
• Adhere to insurance guidelines
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and customers throughout the process
• Perform other assigned tasks
