Job summary

Elmer’s Manufacturing Ltd. in Manitoba is seeking a CNC & Fabrication Lead to own production flow across CNC laser, brake and machining operations.

You will lead a team of operators and team leads, drive safety, quality, and throughput. You’ll coordinate labour, machine capacity, and material flow to meet production targets, identify bottlenecks, and implement structured problem solving using data and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production flow across CNC laser, brake, and machining operations.
• Coordinate labour, machine capacity, and material flow to meet production targets.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks across cutting, forming, and machining processes.
• Monitor production performance and adjust priorities to maintain schedule and quality.
• Lead structured problem-solving on quality issues and production disruptions.
• Ensure safety standards and operating procedures are consistently followed.
• Support training and development of operators and team leads.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and stabilize processes.
• Calm, disciplined leadership and steady decision making.
• Full ownership for results; follows through on commitments and holds others accountable.
• Structured problem solving and uses data, observation, and root cause analysis.
• Planning ahead, anticipating constraints, and making timely, well reasoned decisions.
• Clear communication that builds trust and collaboration across departments.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develops others.
• A consistent presence to reinforce and follow-up on safety, quality, and standard work.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with leadership responsibility.
• Experience setting production plans and managing the plan versus actual performance.
• Previous CNC and fabrication experience would be considered an asset.

To meet the growing demand for our product we’re looking for a CNC & Fabrication Lead to take ownership of production flow across a wide range of advanced CNC technologies, lead a team of operators and team leads, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput.

This role is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing experience who enjoys solving problems on the floor, optimizing processes, and developing people in a fast-paced CNC and fabrication environment.
