Job summary

Clive’s Classic Lounge in Victoria is seeking a dedicated server to deliver cocktails and food in a fast-paced setting. You will take orders, ensure accuracy in the POS, and provide attentive service to guests.

This permanent part-time role is 2–3 nights weekly with opportunities for extra shifts during vacations, sick days, or events. Candidates must hold Serving It Right, have cash handling experience, and a passion for cocktails and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Serving It Right certification.
• Must have cash handling experience.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to serve high quality cocktails in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven communication skills and ability to work positively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders accurately in POS system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
• Prepare final bill ensuring its accuracy, present check to guest, enter and accept correct payment, process credit/debit/gift card charges accurately or make change if applicable.
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
• Accurately complete server cash-out at the end of service shift.
• Following established procedures and policies when completing tasks
• Be an Ambassador for the Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites and Clive’s Classic Lounge

Clive’s Classic Lounge has etched itself into the heart of Victoria as the city’s longest standing cocktail bar. Established in 2008, Clive’s quickly became an internationally respected pillar in the cocktail community.

Our passion for cocktails is fueled by the desire to introduce guests to unique and magical cocktail experiences with each visit to our lounge. The Clive’s Lounge team is continually reinventing themselves with exciting cocktails for our dynamic and seasonally changing cocktail program.

We are looking for someone excited to serve our cocktails and food in a fast-paced environment. Someone who's passionate about the industry and continually seeks out knowledge to add to the guest experience.

• Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer with a specific focus on cocktails
• Ability to complete shifts that include constant standing, walking, bending and lifting
• Previous bartending experience considered an asset
